Technology at it's finest and how it's shaping the way we deliver a customer experience

When it comes to keeping your business running, the customers tend to be an important part of it, wouldn’t you agree? Whether you deal with the general public or trade to trade, the experience you give your customers and clients can be the difference between recurrent business or someone who doesn’t want to deals with you again. Technology has really shaped the way we can offer a customer experience in many different ways. I wanted to share with you some of the ways it has.

Social media

When it comes to social media you can really use it to help enhance the customer experience, with their permission, of course. For example, when you buy a new car, the excitement and anticipation is through the roof. So to see social media updates to help you get excited, such as a picture of the car covered up ready to be picked up, and then a picture with the happy customer. It makes them feel good but it is also excellent exposure for that business. You can use it similarly for other business niches as well, people keep up to date with social media so it is an excellent way to keep people in the loop about their purchases or the services they receive.

The software to help keep customers accountable and up to date

To make a process easier, technology can really help and be at the forefront of it. The customer experience begins the moment you make a call for an appointment, or step through a shop door, and it is no different for other business industries, for example, the medical industry. People heading to their doctors or a medical building are anxious, perhaps nervous even, so to have technology in place like MedicalDirector to make it an easy transition from booking in to collating information can help. It is all about making expectations and technology can help you do it.

Follow up emails

Email is a quick and easy from of contact between your business and the customer, not matter what industry you are in, and while it is a good from of communication it is also the ideal way to send an unexpected follow up email. This could be a thank you for the business that has been done, after thoughts or information to help them along the way, and keeping your customer database up to date with the latest information and money off.

Software to gain feedback from customers directly

Finally, every business would like to know that they are doing a good job, and the customer testimonial can prove invaluable as a sales technique to help your business thrive in the future. However, now it is easier than ever to gain information as you can use a software that will contact the customer directly with a short survey asking for feedback and information. With permission, you could then share the thoughts on your website or through social media channels.

I hope this has given you something to think about in terms of how technology can really help the way we give that ultimate customer experience in our business environment.
