Remote working has become a huge trend since developments in technology have allowed us to reach further than ever before. More and more companies are allowing their staff to work away from the office as one of the perks of the job, and if you manage to develop into a career that allows you the freedom to work from the comfort of your own home, you are onto a winner.
People who work flexibly can often work better and faster than those in the office. Home workers are also often happier, because they can spend more time with their families and less time commuting to a stuffy office! The good thing about remote working, is that there are a myriad of career choices out there for you to choose from. You can even start off your remote working adventure by learning online. For example, this course allows you to complete a masters from the comfort of your own home. As long as you have the technology to do so, you can work from anywhere as long as you have an internet connection and a phone. So, with all that in mind, which careers would be right for you if you want to work from the comfort of anywhere in the world?

Translator. Unless you want to be the type of translator that follows around your boss, you can choose to work in a freelance capacity. This means finding a quiet space in the home dedicated to work and away from family, to translate documents or audio transcripts into the correct language. It’s a different role for most, but you have to have the right knowledge to make it worth it.
Graphic Designer. If you choose to go self-employed, you could work designing and building not just websites, but logos and brands for companies from home. You could even be a Starbucks goer. All you need is a laptop and a lot of good ideas and you’re set to go!
