Keep It Steady When Driving
Diesel engines have the power to go very fast indeed. But, just because you can doesn’t mean that you should! If you do keep on powering around the streets at the top speeds, you will find that the engine wears out a lot quicker than what you would expect. Think of it this way - all of the companies making driverless cars are putting in place mechanisms that limit the speed they go at. That’s in an effort to save money and save engine replacements. Add A Coolant Filter
Diesel engines have a tendency to overheat while they are running. That’s another reason why you shouldn’t drive too fast! But you might find that your engine sometimes overheats without any warning even if you are driving very carefully. So, you should make sure that your car has a coolant filter added. Some makes and models add them as standard. If yours doesn’t come with one already fitted, your local mechanic should be able to do it for you.
